jamnesias:

He chased me through the rain
Honey, I’m going your way,
I don’t think so
You can chase me through the rain
And scream my name, a childish game
But I love to be young
And honey, I was never gonna change
And honey, you are never gonna change
But you love, don’t you love it that way
Old stone
Ten thousand years and you’re still on your own
Don’t you love
Don’t you love me that way

I’m Victoria.  I love being creative, whether it’s music, drawing, writing, or… crocheting.  No, folks, it’s not just for grannies.  I have a passion for music.  In fact, it’s what I’m going to college for.  I play euphonium in band, but my true passion is singing.  It’s such a beautiful art, because our voice is an instrument that no one plays but us.  Every singer is the best at what they do because there is no one else that can be them or sing for them.  So, I enjoy delving into the underworld of YouTube for singers who are beautiful and unique.  We are all unique, so why let our music sound the same?

Orugoru is the Japanese word for ‘Music Box.’  I like the sound of it.  It has a nice ring. :)

To start, let’s credit this lovely lady.  Laura Marling is a prominent artist of the genre dubbed “nu-folk” by the British press.  I have been a listener for a few years, and am always comforted by her relaxed, beautiful voice.  The words to her songs have always been something to decipher, yet I always feel greater understanding about her music after doing so.  It is an outpour of emotion, and I absolutely love it.

Fun Fact: She once decided to play on the street for being denied entry to her own performance.  She was denied entry to the bar for being underage.
